My passion is to help adolescents, adults, and families develop the social and emotional awareness needed to thrive. People do as well as they can, but sometimes need support in order to understand themselves and others. Obstacles can get in the way. I can help those obstacles become opportunities for growth and success through insight, practice, and collaboration.

My education includes an undergraduate degree in Music with a minor in History and two masters degrees: one in Counseling and the other Psychology. I have served adolescents and adults for over 30 years in inpatient psychiatric care, private practice, and within school settings. My areas of specialty are: PTSD, grief, depression, anxiety, anger, suicidal ideation, shame, relational challenges related to divorce, trauma, and domestic violence. I also am specialized and currently hold certifications in EMDR through EMDRIA, Alcohol and Drug Counseling (CADC) through IAODAPCA, and have extensive training in emotional focused therapies with an emphasis on attachment.
